Tuzzy

Tuzi’s initial idea was a minimalist dog, with few outlines that shows the posture of a dog pooping. Just a dog, not purebred…
I took a picture of my dog, Casey, and also pulled some pictures from the internet.
I really started with a single midline, side view, head arched back and tail rising up.
I added arms and legs to him for stability. He was already beautiful. He stayed like that for a few days, constantly sending me looks like, what? Will you leave me like this?

I felt that something was missing, that it was unfinished, and I decided to give it the volume it deserved.
I welded chains to the spine and while welding, the chain heats up and I have a small moment, before it cools down, that I can rotate and shape the material in any direction and angle I want. I didn’t know what it would look like in the end, but asymmetrical shapes came out but also somewhat reminiscent of lace fabric.
Tuzzi is a dog that receives a lot of reactions, either they die for him, or he makes people laugh, or they dislike him. Surely not indifferent to him.
