If I Were a Rich Man

A portrait-puzzle of Haim Topol, created from personal cards collected over many years.

During the lockdown I received a gift from my friends Yifat and Omer Topol: a pile of about 150 cards collected over many years by Haim Topol’s secretary, all bearing his name – credit cards, frequent-flyer cards, driver’s licenses, Academy Awards badges, Golden Globe cards, and more.

The connection between the credit cards and the song “If I Were a Rich Man” came to me immediately. I sorted them by color, cut, glued, and assembled them into a portrait-puzzle of Haim Topol from Fiddler on the Roof.
